Hi everyone, I have a really odd question that I hope someone can help me with. I have a 1 1/2 year old siamese ferret named Rikkitikkitavi that was neutered but not descented when I got him. I took him to a local vet in town to have him descented (after he got me 4 times when I was trying to repromand him for digging in the sofa). He had all sorts of trouble post surgery...infection..swelling...contrictions...It was a nightmare. I ended up seeing antoher vet when the first one wasn't helping me to my (and Rikki's) satisfaction. I really regretted having the surgery done. Anyway...this was done in Dec of 1996. Today I was bathing the critters. I let Rikki back in his cage after the bath and within seconds there was the scent gland smell again!! I couldn't believe it. Is it possible that the Vet missed a part of it? Does/can it regrow? The only other possibility is that the nurse told me the vet accidentaly ruptured one while he was trying to remove it...I wonder if he got it out at all? I just want to know if this is possible before I truck back to the vet angry about a botched surgery... TIA, Kat ______________________________________________________________ *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* http://www.thuntek.net/~artemis *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* [log in to unmask] *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* [log in to unmask] *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ______________________________________________________________ [Posted in FML issue 1866]
