Hi Guys, Well, thought I would take a break from the books and cleaning the fart room day to share some thoughts. Of course, I can't be held responsible since I am probably light headed from the chlorine fumes. ;-) It has been a really rough week in the soap opera that passes for my life right now. 39 is not an age to try and grow up at! Anyway, Happy Birthday to my soon to be ex, Alan. And all the gang in Houston, you may see me sooner than you want! On to the topic at hand-steam cleaners. Been meaning to post for a while on this. I have had all the different Bissell models, hook up to the sink, self contained and spot cleaners. Don't like them, they break. Plus using the wands on the big ones really hurts my back. Alan always had to do it. I am just too short to get a good angle with it. I recently invested in the Hoover models. A small spot cleaning one and the large one that looks like an upright vacuum. I am very pleased with them both. The large one is very easy for me to use. And it is easy to fill and empty. The small one is easy to use and it very easy to clean. That was my biggest complaint with the Bissell small one, it got the order of dirty water in it and I couldn't get rid of it, so everytime it ran it spewed forth foul smells. Tips, rinse the tanks well and let air dry. If the spot isn't too bad, cut back on detergent. Pre-treat bad spots. You can also use hydrogen peroxide on animal stains. Bissell includes it in their spot cleaning kit. Be sure and test for color fastness. I clean the farts room once a week. It really helps. Of course what would really help is if the little buggers decided to use the litter box all the time!! Margaret and the Mob [Posted in FML issue 1853]
