8'-( I'm sorry Liz... FWIW, I live in dread of just such an episode in my house. Dakota, for example, will follow me as I do stuff around the house, running up under my feet - and Guiniviere becomes curious and approaches me just as I turn; I accidently lightly kick them as I move about, they seem bewildered but it could have been much worse... I love them so much, and the possibility of something falling on them or stepping on them is disturbing me as well... I do wonder if any of the vets can comment on effective first aid in these cases. Do you immobilize a ferret in a case like this? Do you keep it head down, sort of like for shock, or to help drain and clear breathing passages? What? I again, I'm so sorry to hear of this, but thank you for sharing, it was good for you to remind us - that took courage. A. [Posted in FML issue 1809]
