Dear Dayna of M4, Please tell us about Minnies broken teeth that were "coated" as you wrote recently. This sounds (reads) very interesting. What's this procedure all about? Who does the coating and how's it done. What's the cost? With regard to sparse fur, let me relate to you that our home-made ferret soup has grown hair on otherwise bald, naked ferrets. Maybe you should consider a supplemental soup to their regular diet, such as LUMPS, that FNW has been using since 1983. We've had good results using this soup and have never had one case of ECE, the green slime. Hint: become good friends with your local grocery store meat cutter, 'cause you're gona want to get the debris out of the meat-cutting bandsaw collection tray every other day or so. Briefly cooked, this is one of the main elements of LUMPS. For your info, this soup was developed to ween adult rescues from cat food onto ferret chow and to help get rid of fleas. We've found that kits become very docile and cuddley when offered this soup daily. It's a sure-fire way to inhibit biting with those sharp little, needle-like teeth.
