My perfect little boy is turning one year old on Sunday. We're having a party (little tiny raisin cake) with presents (laxatone and a new ball). Someone asked about a 4-5 month old ferret biting. My third ferret, Snoopy was a dedicated biter. We got him at @ 3 months old and it has taken two months of consistant training to convince him he can't bite me or my SO. It was easier for me since I'm with him all the time but my hubby travels and every time he came home it was "Hi daddy! CHOMP!!" Be patient. It takes longer to convince older ferrets but if you're consistant and loving they will get it. Meeko and Snoopy would like me to pass on their new favorite toy idea to all other ferret Mommies and Daddies. LEMONS! My in-laws brought a bag from their tree and the kids went nuts rolling them on the ground. Each ferret selected their lemon, gathered it under their tummy and scratched away. The room smelled wonderful and so did they. I take the lemons away after a while because I think they get a little crazy. When life gives you lemons, give them to your ferrets! Oh, I taught Percy to finally give kisses (be forewarned, it's a little gross) Coating my lips with ferretone didn't work but one day I was eating a chocolate cookie and he was begging. I admit it...I let him lick my tongue (but just a little). Now all I have to do is touch his nose with my tongue and he will give kisses for HOURS. Happy woozling Melissa Meeko "Lemons! More Lemons!" Snoopy "I will steal your lemon and hide it in my hidey-hole." and Percy "I'm a big boy now! I want chocolate!!!!!" [Posted in FML issue 1808]
