FML'ers
In the series Water!  by Gael Baudino (fantasy/SF) one of the main
characters is convinced he is a ferret or becoming a ferret.  He spends his
time stealing shiny things and hiding them from others, jumping wildly
around and backing into corners.  Very silly.
