Hello CA UPDATE folks,

Look for a piece on the ferret issue here in California in the Wall Street
Journal (California Section) this Wednesday December 4th. This is thanks to
the hard work of Bud Jackson, of Jackson Communications. One of the
staffers at the Journal kept the many faxes Bud sent from my office (his
headquarters for the ferret media effort) to the LA Times where the writer
was employed at the time.

The article will highlight some of the folks affected by the ban who face
job moves (the Journal is a business magazine after all) to California and
have to decide to accept or decline based on the composition of their
household. (Thank you to everyone who has sent letters-- I get one for
every 10-15 people that call me with this dilemma.)

The L.A. law firm and I have played phone tag today so I should know more
about what's going on with the Commission in the next few days, but I wanted
those who were interested to have the opportunity to get the Journal if they
wish. This is all the notice I had, having spoken with the reporter today
and not receiving confirmation that the article was a go until well after
6:00P.M.

Hope it's a good one. Again, thanks Bud!
