Hello all, I have a quick question, but first background...I have three ferrets. Rascal, a salt and pepper colored male about two yrs old. Chantille, a red sable female less than 1 yr old, and Stella, a badger ferret (very cute, white stripe and all) she is about 7-9 months old. Rascal and Chantille has put on their winter coats and extra fat, Stella still has a scragely coat and hasn't put on winter wieght. She eats all the time, and is about three times more active than Rascal or Chantille. Stella will be out running around for two sometimes three hours non-stop. Rascal and Chantille wonder around for tops an hour before their of to nap, but Stella keeps going and going (Energiser bunny has some compatition). Like I said she eats all the time but doesn't put on wieght and still hasn't gotten a thick winter coat, the only thing we can think of is that she's hyper-active. Is this good or bad? Should she have still put on wieght or gotten her winter coat dispite her activity? She appears healthy and is VERY socialble, we checked her stool and everything looks good, she's extremly alert (although she is a slow starter in the morning taking about 15 min. to get up and moving), she's not jittery, she's just hyper-active!! Thanks, John. Rascal-"Calm that girl down before I have to jump on her." Chantille-"I'm sorry did you say something?" Stella- keeps going and going and going and going!!! [Posted in FML issue 1785]
