Doc, finding a vet here is surprisingly easy - ever since the Rabies vaccine was approved, there's been a policy of never harassing fertvets. If you're in California and need a vet, get to the CDFA homepage at www.cdfa.com and use the contact numbers there; they know most of the ferret-knowledgable vets, especially in Northern CA. For SoCal, hop to the Ferrets Anon pagelinks for Ventura chapter and you should be able to hook up with a vet.
