I saw something about putting a ferret on a vegetarian diet and I would like to say something. I didn't follow the story itself, I just saw one posting about it so I don't know it. I am a vegetarian, this is my choice: I myself decided to be vegetarian for my own belief. What I really deplore is the fact that animals in general born to be carnivores are put on a vegetarian diet by the owner's imposition. This is absolutely wrong: once again the human being DECIDES for someone else's life and this is also the fact why I want to be vegetarian! My choice has to involve only myself in these matters. It is like the idea of zoos: the human beings decide for wild animals that a cage of only few feet is enough for them! This is an abuse of power. Furthermore ironically animals in the zoos are supposed to be caged for our pleasure: has anyone ever considered their dignity? Animals and people have equal dignity. I understand also that some zoos are there for rehabilitation of animals and this is what I wish they all could be there for. We recognize different cultures among people but still we do not see the animal's needs and rights. Until there is this general idea of the man in the center of world we will all go towards the destruction.
