After reading Dayna's explanation of the need for help at Halloween, I am fearful that people will begin another disagreement on the list. There is good material available in the abuse/recovery section of Barnes & Noble, Borders, and other large book stores if anyone doubts that these rituals exist but is interested in confirmation. The heaviest proportion of groups is on the west coast, but there are more than enough here in the east. I was first made aware of them when my daughter and her best friend were unfortunate enough to stumble on a recently used site shortly before the police arrived to investigate. Another teenager told me about how many small animals were sacrificed very often (not just Halloween) at a location near us. Both these sites are in heavily populated suburbs of Philadelphia. Please do not begin a disagreement over this. I know that some people cannot believe these groups are real, or at least not as serious about their beliefs as they truly are. Do your own research on the side, and please do not call Dayna crazy because she has experienced these things and has mentioned them to such a large group. If you look through the literature, you will see that most victims are not believed, and I think it is because nice, normal people just can't bear the idea that these things could be true. However, if you will remember, people felt the same way about child abuse less than 20 years ago. Either believe what Dayna has said or don't. Either help her in rehabilitating what animals can be saved or don't. But please don't begin any personal arguments or inuendo on the FML. [Posted in FML issue 1722]
