Good day, I'm back after a near fatal experience (me not the ferrets). Nikita loves to play in the closet which is no problem until last Saturday when I heard a noise come from the closet. I looked over my should to see that she had dragged out my fishing rod and as I went to pick it up and put it away I noticed to my horror that there was no handle left on the fishing rod. The handle was made out of a soft rubber. As my heart rate and blood pressure took off at warp 9.5 I grabbed 'kita and sat down with the hairball remedy which was fine by her. Needless to say, I've been watching her for the past week and there has been no shortage of poop. Later I found a small pile of plastic in the closet and I haven't seen any in her feces so I'm hoping but still watching carefully - no more play in the closet. I haven't seen any change in eating pooping or mood since then so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Little Turd! My other ferret, Scooter, also had her shot at trying to induce a heart attack in her owner. As normal, I was walking around looking for the two carpet sharks to be put back in their cage for bedtime. I had looked everywhere that Scoots likes to sleep, play, eat, poop, ... Finally, I heard a rustle in the closet (deja vu) but as I looked all over the floor in the closet she wasn't there either. As I stood up and looked at the clothes on the hangers there she was looking me eye to eye with a grin that said "I am no prisoner of gravity." Trust me, Ferret Transport can happen. Finally, to whoever gave out the phone number to Safeguard - THANKS - I'm getting the three level ferret cage - $56 what a steal. Also, I feed my girls Science Diet Feline Growth. Did someone say the new formula is bad??? I know there has been discussion about the solid Science Diet but I wasn't sure if it was concluded that the solid stuff now is bad or what. You may have to tell me twice and tell me slowly. I missed some of the FML's because I was gone and had some computer probs. I tried Kay Tee but they don't like it - I may try mixing in Totally Ferret later on. Regards, Phil Heppner and The "Dooks" of Hazard [Posted in FML issue 1690]
