Hi Kim,
 
Two of my little ones love snow!  Especially deep banks of it - they'll dig
and romp in it quite happily.  I don't think that cold in itself is bad for
the little ones, a good run outside in winter air won't hurt them.  Of
course, you should make sure they don't get wet and chilled - and rub them
down thouroughly when they get back inside.  These animals are descendent
from cold weather polecats, and have luxurious winter coats - which should
be up to an occasional trip outside.  Besides, if they get cold, they'll
insist on crawling into your coat - I've never know a ferret that would
voluntarily put up with any discomfort...
