PETA Video - Correct me if I'm wrong please but a few years back PETA released a video of a class project where the class studied the predatory nature of a ferret. This project was not approved by the appropriate board and all involved were reprimanded. The ferret was a pet of one of the students. Could this be the video being referred to? Breeding - Gentle Suggestion - For those considering breeding, would you be interested in becoming a ferret rescue and shelter? We an always use more. At this very moment I share my home with ferrets that have been turned in because of allergies, unwanted, medical illness, moving, can't afford proper care, behavioral problems, SO tired of the smell, they poop all over the house, etc. When I received my first ferret I was fell madly in love with this enticing creature. I bred for the first 3 years (1 litter each year) and had to stop. Not only did I want to keep them all, but I was never sure the kits got the right home. Oh I interviewed and made call backs but there's always that doubt. My last litter I kept 4 of the girls and had EVERYONE spayed and neutered. I'm very happy doing what I do now and I have the opportunity to help many ferrets. I still bond closely with each and every one and some cannot be adopted out because they bond so closely to me. I have one little boy that follows me everywhere and each time I stop he lays on his back at my feet looking up at me with those big adoring eyes. Of the 18 that are my own only 3 are ones I bought for myself. Hugs to all. tle [Posted in FML issue 1701]
