Does tomato soup help eliminate the ferret odor? I can't say I've really tried it, but can offer an possible explanation. The more often you bathe a ferret, the stronger the smell. The shampoo seems to strip out the oils, which are replaced-the fresh oils have that ferrety smell. The odor seems to diminish about 3-4 weeks after their last bath. If a person thought that tomato soup baths reduced the odor and therefor only bathed the ferret once a month or less, then indeed, the smell would be less because they weren't bathing him as often, not necessarly the result of anything in the tomato soup. Just a thought. Dick B. [Posted in FML issue 1700]
