Hello Fellow Ferret Lovers: In response to Jalene's question: our little Katy loves to have her neck scratched behind her ears! I do this almost every morning before I let them out. After she's enjoyed having her scratch, she stretches out luxioursly, puts her front paws straight out in front of her, hind legs back, and slides down her ramp* to exit their cage. Too cute:) Sasha meanwhile, will stop for a second to give kisses but doesn't have time for scratches. Sasha loves a jar of chicken baby food once in a while, but little Katy couldn't care less. After several attempts to introduce this new food to her and being rejected, I took a bit of warmed chicken on my finger and put it on her nose so that she had to lick it off - ever since then she loves the chicken baby food as much as Sasha. I'm wondering, does the smell of some foods deter them from trying new food? Hugs to all the ferrets, Jean and her sweetheart ferret Katy, and Sasha the Adventurer *the ramp is covered with the sleeve of an old wooly sweater. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ "Everything that lives Lives not alone Nor for itself" William Blake ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ [Posted in FML issue 1703]
