I just gat a call from a friend of mine at the Kitsap County Human Society.
The Jefferson County (Western Washington) Animal Services (that's the county
animal control people) have a female ferret for adoption.  Their number is
(360)383-3292.  I don't know what the fees will be.  I understand she is
young and healthy.
