For the most part, continue physical therapy for 30 days. >At the end of thirty days, what you see is probably the best it will get. Maybe this is just for dogs ... I had a cat with a spinal cord injury who went from partially paralyzed, unable to lift her tail or urinate ... to able to do everything a cat does and a tail at 1/2 mast in 6 months. She regained bladder control overnight, it took about 30 days for most of the pain to go away, but she continued to get better for 6 months. In the last several years, her tail has gone from 1/2 mast to 3/4 mast ... Also, I had a ferret with an injury and it improved quickly over 2 weeks, but continued to improve (very slowly) for months. But I guess there are always anecdotal cases... --Barb-- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- Barbara Carlson Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh PA [log in to unmask] (412) 481-5927 http://www.gsia.cmu.edu/andrew/bcarlson/home.html (under construction) Thought for the day: If "boring women have immaculate homes," I must be very interesting! -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- -=- [Posted in FML issue 1642]
