Grettings all! We are new ferret owners and are having a bit of difficulty ferret-proofing our apartment. Our little buddy Jasper loves to crawl inside of our recliner couch. The only problem is that it is lined with foam rubber and Jasper loves to scratch at it. Through reading the FAQ's, we see that this poses a potential dangerous situation i.e. G.I. blockage. We have talked to our vet and asked everyone we can think of for help. Their suggestions have included spraying Bitter Apple or other pet repellents. So far, not much luck. He has slowed his scratching some, but we still worry. We do not have another room we can keep him in, and refuse to leave him in his cage all the time (usually ony in there when we are gone or at night to sleep). Anyone have any other suggestions?? BTW we have tried, and there is no way to block all of the ways to get inside the couch (and no we can't afford a new non-reclining couch) Thanks in Advance Brett & Missy Lapham and Jasper too...
