If you or anyone you know has lost a ferret, please call any and all
contacts, clubs, shelters, etc., within a 1-2 hour drive from your home to
"file" a lost report.  I have taken in two stray ferrets from different
parts of Maryland in the last two days, and my shelter is in Virginia.  Just
because I don't live near you does not mean that your ferret has not found
its way into my care....
