Last night two of my four ferrets had horrible reactions to Ferrevac. This is the FIRST time I've ever used that brand. It was so bad that we thought we'd lost them--no heartbeat or breathing, fantastically huge fiery red lumps at the injection site, and collapse. It took three shots of epinephrine each, but they are both running around today like nothing has ever happened. All four of my ferrets have the exact same vaccination history. The two that didn't have a reaction had NO reaction, no itching, no swelling at the site, NOTHING. The worst part is that there was NO indication of a reaction for a minimum of 60 min after the shot; for the average person that means that they're home and snug in their cages, presumably "out of the woods" reaction wise, when it might come on. I have heard a lot about minor reactions and swelling from Ferrevac, and much less with Galaxy-D. I only switched because of the recent formulation change. Needless to say, I'm switching back! --Scariest day of my life. Amy and the four fuzzies and their two terrier friends ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Amy M.E.
