Hello all:

Just took the boys to a picnic where they made a big hit. Everyone loved
them, they dug some good holes, and had some nice naps, and got some good
treats.

One comment we hear a whole lot when we take the fuzzbutts out is that
people have had prior experience with ferrets and been bitten.

I'm writing here to remind you all to please be very vigilant about nip
training your ferrets. YOU may know that your baby would never deliver a
blood-drawing bite, but others don't. When they feel teeth on toes and
hands, they form the opinion that ferrets are rabid, vicious, mean animals.
Which, of course, they are not. I've found nip training is easier than
teaching a ferret to roll over, and we get tons of compliments on how gentle
our little monsters are.

*stepping down off soapbox*

Now, I know WE all nip train our ferrets, but maybe this will fall into the
hands of some ferret owner who doesn't mind pierced fingers. :)
