Hi! In response on how to keep your babies from getting into/onto the desk and/or drawers and/or PC! We also have a desk with a PC on top. What the little angles figured out was that they could push the bottom desk drawer out a little bit by scratching on the bottom of the drawer. Once opened JUST A LITTLE bit (doesn't take much, right?), they crawled in the bottom drawer, pulled the same number on the middle drawer, crawled into that, pulled the same number on the top drawer, crawled into that, and WA-LA!! Up onto the top of the desk .. and pencils .. and keyboard .. We solved the problem by screwing a thin sheet of wood underneath the bottom drawer so they can't move it. And our office chair can be raised and lowered, so when we're done working at the desk, *IF* we remember to RAISE it all the way up, they can't get up on the chair, either. Another option I've used .. when a ferret finds something *FUN* to do .. they REMEMBER IT! And, they'll keep going back to re-investigate unless you provide a diversion .. something different .. something really cool .. like PVC plumbing pipes that you've cut in different lengths and bought with different joints. You can set up a maze/puzzle on the floor and that keeps them entertained for a while. When they get bored with the setup .. rearrange the pipes and they think it's something new! Well, it works for me anyways, and as we all know .. there's always an exception to the ferret game plan! Nancy (mother of 6) [Posted in FML issue 1558]
