Hello all, I have been lurking for about a year and have got some great info from the FML but now it's time for vaccinations for our two little furries and I have to come out and ask the general population for some help. I have two Ferrets from marshalls and they are approaching two and I want to know what are the risks for and against vaccinations for rabies and distemper. I know there is a lot of debate on the issue of what vac's to use but I just wanted to know if possibly not vaccinating is a realistic alternative. Our ferrets live alone with us and are not exposed to other animals much. The only time they are around other animals is when we take them for a walk on the Jogging trails, and then only a brief sniff by other dogs. Otherwise they are indoors at all times. I will get them vaccinated if there are no alternatives but I just worry about them because I do not know nor have I been able to find a ferret vet in the Austin Tx. area. Any Help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.
