Thank you to everyone that e-mailed me with information regarding 1 of my 5 ferrets, Chocolate. I will e-mail everyone seperatly. Chocolate is getting better. I don't know what he had or what was wrong but he has been getting better every hour. He is starting to eat on his own (a little) and is drinking on his own. I don't think I mentioned this in my last post but I will now...he started to poop green slime on Sunday morning. Am I dealing with ECE. I heard (I don't know if this is true) that ECE can effects the ferret (green slime, not eating, tired...) for 2-7 days in mild cases. Is this true. Maybe he just had a mild case of ECE. I am going to take him to the vet tomorrow (Tuesday) if he isn't totally well. He runs around like he did before he got sick and even ran off with a rubber shoe and hid it. I have been checking to make sure that he isn't dehydrated and he isn't. None of my other ferrets have gotten sick. I got 2 new ferrets a week ago and I wonder if they brought a bug into the house. One of the new ferrets (Ben) is popping black tar. I have a "few" more questions: Can a ferret overdose on Linatone? What is an average weight of a ferret (male and female)? What is the best way to prevent ear mites? Is lettuce bad for a ferret (one of the babies took a piece of lettuce the other day and actually enjoyed it)? Is cantalop okay for a snack for a ferret and would the rind make them sick? Somebody was saying the other day that they thought a ferret was related to an otter...is this true or one of those mis-informed ferret info? Do ferret get worms? Sorry that I had so many questions but there is so many things to know about a fuzzy and you can never know to much. Please e-mail me the information due to the fact that I am still trying to catch up on the FML (I am now on the 23rd). Thanks Beth and the fuzzbutts (Chocolate, Sable, Taz, Cisco and Ben) PS Pam Greene (sp?) can you please e-mail me the ferret FAQ...I had problems trying to download it from the internet. Thanks!
