ECE Update - Well we are all still here! Looks like the babies are well on the road to recovery. Only 4 needing additional supportive care and meds at this point. You know how I can tell they are getting better? BECAUSE THEY WAKE ME UP AT 4:00 A.M.! They wrestle and gallop through the living room, up on the futon, under my blanket, and chase my feet! :-) The dogs are running for their lives! These guys are making up for lost time! I think they've all been through ECE, at least the ones that are going to be infected, so after I get the 4 back up and going we should be finished with it. Today (Tuesday) starts week 7. Now we start re-litter training. :-( Thank you all for your emails and donations. Each and every one means so much! Oh, please take the time to type up your experiences, treatments, recipes with ECE so I can compile the information. It is important that I include as much data as possible as we all know that what may work for one ferret may not work for the other (recipes). Some of us may have experienced symptoms that no one has mentioned - Poto has a prolapse, I'd not heard that symptom from anyone (Poto has a heart problem and enlarged spleen too). Vets on the list I'd like to have your valuable input too. Lymphoma - A friend has a ferret that has been diagnosed with possible lymphoma. She's requesting any and all information I can find for her. She does have a copy of the FAQ. Please respond directly to Stacey. This is the address she gave me, I think there may be a period between the numbers and compuserve so if it bounces back this way, please try to forward it with the period. 104532.1563compuserve.com Her little had a bad cold and when they took her to the vet he could feel the lymph glands under the neck and arms. He has put her on a strong anti-biotic (white was all she could tell me) and if it doesn't work then Friday they'll do a biopsy. Hugs to all and healing wishes to all sick ferrets. tle (aka Sprite) [Moderator's note: [log in to unmask] BIG] [Posted in FML issue 1541]
