I understand what has been said so far about the rabies virus, but one
question still puzzles me.  How do they detect that the virus is or is not
in the salivary glands in the shedding studies.  There has to be a way of
doing this, so even though it looks like ferrets don't shed the virus
(yeah!) wouldn't this method help save other pets that we have (ie.
cats/dogs)?
