Catherine and FML readers

I made a mistake -- for certain the shelters and Humane Societies do not
hold membership with HSUS.

I admit I may have been a might overzealous in my reply to the HSUS bashing,
and most admittedly posted something inaccurate, for that I am sincerely
sorry. I do not mind being corrected, and thank you for bringing it to my
attention and to the attention of others for I would feel badly for being
the source of misinformation.

The truth is that I was trying to make the point that the agency or
organization and shelters do work towards some common goals. Some goals are
not common -- regardless, whether you are affiliated with HSUS or a shelter
whichever body does not lock you into a single belief. I believe that
shelters in various locations are able to set up their own operational
protocol. I was applauding the efforts of HSUS in providing assistance in
training seminars (which I have attended in this area) and participating in
regional functions. In as much I merely wanted to impart that -- it is
important to view with open eyes the work of others and attempt to work
harmoniously for the betterment of the animals and the populus.
