Bill, I'll let you make the call on this one. Easter means a great deal to Mee Maw and I try to write a poem for her at this time every year. It is true that this poem has nothing at all to do with ferrets. It has to do with the love I feel for Mee Maw (Sandy) . She has allowed, even encouraged, me to make her the 'fall guy' in many of my postings to the FML She has a spirit of fun in her that rivals my own. She has never posted to the FML nor to anyone else. Being a pooter programmer, the last thing she wants to do at the end of a day is to spend more time at the keyboard. She loves Tater and Odie as much as I do and, I swear, she has even more fun playing with them than I do - you should just see her when she joins in a wardance with them! She is a wonderful and special Lady. I cannot express, in words, how I and the lil' guys feel about her. This poem is my best, if inadequate, effort to do so. Happy Easter to the finest Lady that I and two ferrets have ever had the priveledge to love! She is one heck of a nice person. We could not love her more than we already do. WALK WITH ME STILL Come walk again with the one to whom you have given purpose and made complete Walk with me as we return again to that place where we began In the freshness of youth and forgotten times When we were young and knew no fear of things that might Or might never be Come walk with me there and know that I love you Hear with me now the many voices that mingle with our love As we speak again the words of love and renew our faith In the Source of Love and Togetherness Who gave this precious gift to us So it might shine in the darkest night Hear this now and know that I love you Look with joy as together we see those who gladly join with me And see love foretold and meant to be See the world through so many eyes and minds and thoughts Enjoy the pleasures that Love can Bring to a thirsting heart See these things and know that I love you Awake with me after love's release and gentle calm To know the joy that loving brings and can give To the few who know its unselfish face A face which the world may see but not know Because Love is losing its race with modern man Awake with me now and know that I love you Step with me now into our secret place And gaze with me into our God's true face And see all that was and will ever be Every stone every creature and you and me Rejoice with me in the Source of Love Walk with me there and know that I love you Return with me now to that long ago time When Love was new and we were young Taste with me the wisdom and sorrows of many years Remember the sharing of joys and common tears Know that they are all a part of why I ask you now to Continue with me and know that I love you Michael J.
