We might consider trying to have the anniversary gathering as close to as many FMLers as possible. For example, it seems that there might be a clustering of FMLers in the DC metro area, and maybe in the New England area too. If the gathering was held somewhere in one of those areas, or somewhere between those areas, it would be closer to more FMLers. If it was held in Florida, a majority of the folks would probably have to fly in which certainly can be expensive and troublesome if ferrets are brought. If we could determine a geographical region where a majority of FMLers are clustered, that would mean more people would be able to drive, and therefore more people might be able to attend. BIG, do you have any stats on geographical area of FMLers? I don't really know what there is in New England, but there's always Williamsburg VA. Also, there's an amusement park near Philadelphia (I think) called Six Flags. That's sort of in the middle of the two areas. Isn't NYCity a ferret unfriendly city? If so, I would prefer not to contribute to their ecomony by gathering 2,000 FMLers there. Just my opinion. OH, by the way, I posted this quote yesterday, but I forgot to explain that Pinkie and the Brain are LAB MICE. It might make more sense if you know that. Sorry. >Brain: "Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?" >Pinky: "Wuh, I think so, Brain, but if we didn't have > ears, we'd look like weasels." > >(From 'Pinky and the Brain' - "Battle for the Planet") [Posted in FML issue 1530]
