Hello: To those of you whom I haven't written to personally (on the loss of your dear little ferrets), please accept my condolences. I know how painful the loss can be. Congratulations to the new ferret owners. I would soon like to be a new mommy too:) At the end of April, my daughter will be returning from university with three male adult cats. They are two years, nine months and seven months. They have visited our ferret Katy, on occasional weekends, however, during her "free" playtimes we have put the cats into a separate room and when we returned Katy to her cage, we allowed the cats freedom of the house. We have allowed a few short periods of interaction but under very close supervision. What is the best way to integrate our little Katy and the three new males? We also have two female cats and a dog and this group gets along just fine. Any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you, Jean and Katy (I'm mommy's sweetheart!) Baxter (the dog- oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, more cats for me to play with) Teca (the Lady cat - harumph - how long are those males staying?) Tiffany (the fat cat - just keep them away from my food bowl!) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Jean "Everything that lives [log in to unmask] Lives not alone Nor for itself" William Blake ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ [Posted in FML issue 1484]
