Hello everyone. I would like to thank everyone that replied to my questions about Stagediver's condition. As it turns out it has been a pretty busy time since I last posted. Last Wedensay I took her to the Vet. It turns out unfortunately, that he did say that Lymphoma was a extreme possiblity. He said that i should be extremely angry at the Vet at home for not even checking out the possibility of the tumor. I am not exactly pleased at the turn of events. As it happens, Today she went in for surgery. She had the tumor on her stomach removed, and part of her one of her Lymph nodes. They will be sent out for a biopsy and then we'll try to find out what exactly is the problem. I am hoping for, if it is lymphoma, that it is benign. There was a question of how risky the surgery would be due to her age, but she seems to have come through it fine. The vet wasn't sure about how quickly she would recover, but she started going for the honey bottle as soon as she got out of the carrier. I think she will be doing just fine.=). I am hoping for the best results possible. Oh.. and the question the the Low-Fat food that i have been feeding her. The Iams low activity cat food has 14% crude fat, so it doesn't fall below what is a good amount of fat for the babies, though it does not have the 22% of the kitten chow that she was previously given. I think i will be combining the two of them from now on. Thank you for the concern. Sarah (glad her furbee is doing alright) Stagediver (Hey Mom! Stiches?? what stiches.. I want HONEY!!)
