Hi Everybody, I'v Been a member of the ferret mailing list for about 2 years now, anyway I found something very interesting and I thought I would pass the information along. There is a Web service called the " Electric Library " some of you may know it from prodigy as the homework helper. The idea is the service contains thousands of full text publications from all over the world, you scan a word, it searches through it's library of news publications, magazine articles etc and then it will let you pick which article you would like to read on the subject you scanned. I was very surprised of the results when I had scanned the word " Ferret " it came up with magazine and news paper articles on ferrets from all over the world..very interesting reading, it had everything from what had happen in California ( legalizing the ferret ) all the way to Michigan. It had about 30 different articles to read. I'm not in no way associated with these guys ( Electric Library ). I found out about it in a magazine advertisement, so I thought I would give it a try..and of course the first word I scanned was ferret :) Once you sign up ( internet ID only ) you can use it for 2 weeks for free. I myself probably won't use the service once my 2 weeks are up, but in the meantime, it's a great way to catch up what has been happening in the world of ferrets.
