To Jaime Greenfield:

Please DON'T use a flea collar on your ferret. Flea collars are generally
made of plastic and most fuzzies will chew and eat of them if given the
opportunity. There is potential for obstruction as well as ingestion of the
active ingredients to kill fleas.

If your ferret should pick up a few fleas while outside, use a flea comb
before bringing him back inside. If you find your ferret picking up *lots*
of fleas, then leave him inside.

Heavy infestations of fleas can cause anemia, so be careful where you take
your ferret.
