Alex,

I to have carpet sharks that are very particular as to the treats they
prefer. I've found that they go abosolutely nuts over Tender Vittles cat
food. I tried a Tender Vittles vs. raisin experiment once and they only
ate the raisins after they were sure there were no more Vittles to be had.

I would think that Tender Vittles would be good for them at least as a
treat. They have 24% protein, vitamins and minerals including taurine and
poultry by-product meal as the first ingredient (After water sufficient for
processing). I would never recommend feeding it for the main diet.

Maybe Dr. Williams or one of you "Nutrition Experts" out there could take a
look at TV and let me know any down side of TV as a treat alternative to
raisins and the other common stuff.

And finally to the person that said:

>Only humans seem to override the signals sent them by their bodies
>regarding nature and extent of food intake.

Apparently you have never seen a horse that has broken loose from their
stall and found the feed bin. The result is colic and founder and usually
requires destruction of the animal if it survives. [Sorry, BIG, I know this
is the ferret digest but I couldn't keep my mouth shut on this one]
