Hi, all-- When Momo and Noodles first met Murphy--our big old lab-newfie
cross--they were babies & he was full grown.  Murphy was skeptical.  Hang-
dog even, poor guy.  He started picking his feet up high when he walked, but
he always put them down carefully.  The little guys were unmerciful, but
their most enterprising attack method was pretty funny.  They'd wait until
Murph was lying down, then run up his back & grab his ears from behind.  It
worked lots better than the frontal attack--so close to all those big teeth.
Murphy would shake his head, the boys would dangle in the air--but they
could hold on for quite a few shakes.  Poor patient ol' Murph!  Now, ten
months later, I wouldn't say they're friends exactly, but Murph no longer
"humphs" and leaves the room when they come scampering in and they leave his
ears alone--though, of course, his feet are still fair game.
