Calling all ferret lovers in the VA/MD area..... The Ferrets of Pet Pals is receiving numerous calls to place older ferrets (5 years and up). First, with ECE, we really don't want to take these oldsters in, and second, their chances of adoption are slim with the younger ferrets already here. If you would like to take in older ferrets, please contact me with your name, city, state and phone number and what you are willing to handle (a pair, ferrets under 6 years, females only, etc.) and I will keep you on a calling list. I would rather place these ferrets directly into a new home than have them undergo any more stress than is necessary with moving around. Pet Pals' present list of foster ferret parents in VERY thin and I need volunteers to help with lovely older ferrets that ask nothing but a warm cozy place to live in. Any supplies that come with the ferrets (cage, litter boxes, food, hammocks, etc.) stay with the foster parents. Please consider adopting an oldster in the new year.
