Crying Ferrets When I got my second, he cried all the time when we put him in his cage and he wanted to be out. The racket was annoying! What we found that really seemed to help was to put a blanket over the cage when he was in there and we were around. He would cry for a bit and then figuring that we must have left, would settle down and go to sleep. We had to do this for quite a while, but you will be happy to know that he grew out of crying and now rarely makes any noise. (IT might have helped that we already had one ferret that never made a peep, but I am conviced that putting the blanket over the cage really helped.) Just becareful that air still gets through for him and everything should be fine. I hope this helps. NEW TOY I just wanted to say something about a new toy we have. It was this thing that I found called "Racoon in a Bag" Basically it is a bag with a tail sticking out that moves round. It look just like a ferret in a paper page in my opinion (It was good enough to fool my roommate into thinking that one of the ferrets had gotten in the bag and couldn't get out. Well my ferrets didn't like it. They hit a bit but then got bored. Well the main part of the whole thing is this ball the is in the bag. When I take that out and just let it rool about, my one ferret follows it everywhere trying to catch it. Since the ball is designed to hit an object and change directions, my poor baby can't get it. He will trap the thing and it will just change directions and get away. It is quite amusing. Have a great day!
