You know what? It would be a really wonderful thing if you chose to rescue one of those poor fuzzies in the bad pet stores and while you are handing them your precious money also hand the owner if possible or the manager at the least a nice copy of the ferret FAQ and any other info. you can print out concerning bad wood shavings and etc.... Let them know they will protect their big investment by giving top notch care to these little guys and they will have to deal with less illness problems too. I get great satisfaction rescuing critters that really need it rather than wonderful little ones that are already being properly cared for. It takes a special kind of person to pass up the great situations and go for the ones that need you the MOST. You might give it a thought and you might make a great difference in the lives of all future animals coming into that particular shop. Wouldn't that be a wonderful feeling?
