I received a piece of email the other day blasting me for my arrogant and distracting "Moderator's note"s. (That's the very condensed version.) Well, one piece of hate mail now and then amid a lot of encouraging mail is a pretty decent record, but, still, I've been thinking about that somewhat - a couple of times a note wasn't accurate, and some, like my recent "buy a $3 tag" note in the middle of an otherwise sincere posting would probably have been better left unsaid. At times I can't resist making a sarcastic comment I guess and though I really mean such things in jest that may not be obvious and the comment may be distracting. Anyhow, I'll try to be a little careful. Not that I'll shut up - I gotta have *some* fun - but there's a thin line between being too obtrusive and too quiet, and I've probably crossed either side at times, at least for some subscribers. I apologize if I've offended anyone. I appreciate all of your comments - if you have thoughts about the FML that you'd like to share feel free to email them directly to ferret-request.
