I've been following the FML for awhile, but this is the first time I've
written. When my little girl Rissa realized there was fun to be had in the
kitchen, we blocked it off with a covered "dog/baby" door. After that, the
carpet digging started. I was off to the hardware store and picked up a
1/8" thick piece of particle board, about 2.5'x3'. Notched it on both ends
so part of it fits into the kitchen doorway, but allowing it to overhang on
both sides of the doorway on the carpet side. A thow rug was tossed over
the rest of the board to make it difficult for Rissa to climb under. After
about a week of scratching on the board at the corners of doorway, she soon
tired of it and left it alone. After about a month we were able to remove
the board and store it away until another adventure arises.
