Niki and Jimi,
 
The large round greyish spot you see on Jimi may not be a problem.  It's not
uncommon for ferrets to have areas of pigmented skin on their body.  Its
usually not a concern if the area is not raised off the surface of the skin,
the ferret is not scratching or biting at the area, and if the area does not
bleed.  Other problems on the skin that could look like this (when it
irritates the ferret or bleeds) are mast cell tumors, flea allergies, skin
infections.  Most vets can usually tell which it is more likely to be by
looking at it.
