Sam. (and others) Don't despair, concerning the cataracts. I've got a female 5 years old with cats in both eye's for the past 2 years, healthy, a perfect shining smooth fur and wonderful nature. And "Stumpie" (Mum bit a good part of her tail at birth) produced a beautiful litter of 7 six months ago and reared them to perfection. You are quiet wright about her sight, only light/dark and this will be the only thing she will ever see the rest of her live therefore don't accidentally step on her and you will have to repeat your cal several times to realise were the sound comes from. Please Sam do not give her up. I, at 67 had to face the same problem. Now with contact lenses and glasses, barely being able to see the monitor screen, I still enjoin what I'm doing. As far as I now, no contacts for ferrets yet. This misfortune could be coursed by living for extended time under fluorescent light. BILL [Posted in FML issue 1311]
