Thought I'd let everyone know how Max, the ferret with *no* adrenal glands was doing. As you may remember, Dr. Bock had him on a medical supplement to deal with his lack of adrenal glands, and he is doing well, to some degree. I have learned that getting a proper dosage is a difficult balancing act. At first, he wasn't getting enough, so he started to wither away, so I upped his dosage, and then he got too much. Within a week he had gained a pound or so, and now he is quite possibly the fattest ferret in existence. I've lowered his dosage again, but he hasn't dropped back down in weight. He's alot lazier, he tends to just lie in one place all day, but at least he's alive and he seems happy. Boy is he fat though. I have a four inch tube that he can't climb through anymore. Wow. He also eats about a week's worth of food in one day - I'd cut back but then my other skinny little ferret would starve. |A couple of days ago I posted a serious request asking for information about |how many ferrets are legally allowed in various municipalities/jurisdictions Umm.. Okay. As far as I know the communities I have lived in (Geneva, IL.; Madison, WI; Ft. Collins, CO) have a limit of one billion, i.e. no limit that I know of.
