To Kelleen and David: >I would really appreciate Dr. Williams advice on the below. I wrote a story >earlier telling of our cockapoo Rascal allowing my ferret Shyla to suckle her >titties. Rascal was spayed about a month and a half ago but I am wondering if >this suckling could cause her body to go into a false pregnancy??? If yes is >there anything we can do other than stopping Shyla from suckling???? No, I don't think this could result in a false pregnancy, as Rascal has been spayed, and you have to have functioning ovaries to have a real or a false pregnancy. I would suggest some bitter apple over Rascal's teats or something else that Shyla doesn't like the taste of. [Posted in FML issue 1252]
