I wouldn't worry about the hiccups too much, our second ferret Emma had hiccups almost constantly her first 2 weeks with us. I was worried about her and asked the vet if it was a problem and he assured me it wasn't. This was also the ferret I toted to class in a duffel bag every day because she needed hand-feedings. She was only 4-5 weeks old when we got her (pet store claimed 9 weeks, but one eye was still closed) and needed liquid food. The bag would jump if she had the hiccups really bad. I got some VERY strange looks that semester! Is your Baby very young? We always assumed that was Emma's problem. She grew out of it, and now she snores, but no hiccups. Marya and the gang.
