I have two ferrets, Siouxsie (female) and Plake (male) that are 10 weeks old. These are the first ferrets I have owned. I have noticed that sometimes when Siouxsie is tired, Plake will chew on her ears until he is tired also. It looks like he is just playing, but he has picked her head off the ground on several occasions. He has never drawn blood from her ears or torn them, but I would like an explanation for this odd behavior. Siouxsie does not seem to mind and rolls away when Plake really starts chewing. Is this some sort of mating ritual? Both of my ferrets are fixed. Thanks for any replies. ___________________________________________________________________________ Stephen S.
