Subject: Teeth, teeth, and more teeth

Yellowing with age is common. the dark stuff on the molar is tartar and does
need to be scaled off.

See your vet or ask a dentist/hygenist friend to show you how to remove it so
you can do it yourseld in another year or two. I have found that if you keep
up with the teeth, every 6-9 months, it is a whole lot easier to remove than
every year or two. But if you can't/won't do it yourself, then see the vet
at LEAST everyother year.

Remember, tartar is a buildup of nasty things,a nd your ferret is swallowing
the nasty stuff every time he eats. clean teeth are important to good
health.

BTW for those following my story - Red Dog is now out of his recovery cage
and reunited with his buddies again. His fur is already starting to come
back. He eats well, poops well, and toddles around with less waddle
dragging!
