to: Coco Sindhu <> Ferrets chip their teeth all the time. As long as it does not wiggle, turn black, or cause swelling inthe mouth, more than likely it is normal and fine. As to yellowing, The older ferrets get, the yellower their teeth become. also, if they have long canines (vampire fangs) then they will yellow quicker than ferrets with shorter canines. White teeth - 1-2 years Clear/translucent tips on canines - 2-3 years Yellowing near gum line on canines - 3-4 years Tooth turning translucent and "bulging" at gum line - 4-5 years Canines turned solid yellow/tranlucent - 5-6 years Canines turning dark - 6+ Just an average.
