Sorry I didn't get this info in the first post.  I will try and
consolidate messages better next time.  Here is the "meat" of the bill.
I thought some might be interested in the revisions made 3-2-95!
 
This bill would allow domestic ferrets to be {+ imported for,
and +} owned as {+ , +} pets without a permit {- as long as -}
{+ if +} the owner of a ferret maintains, and can produce,
documentation showing that the ferret has been vaccinated
against rabies with a vaccine approved for use in ferrets by the
United States Department of Agriculture and administered in
accordance with the recommendations of the vaccine manufacturer
{+ and if the ferret is spayed or neutered, as specified +}.
 
Notice that last line that was added!  Quite a change.  Also notice the
"imported for" line that was added!  Any one care to throw in their $0.02
about the meaning of these statements!
